“Ah, its so boring,” Kiyoharu decided to rest on the couch while the other two members of Kuroyume still playing with their instruments.
“Hey, Kiyoharu, we’re still on the middle of the rehearsal,” Shin, the guitarist of the band, looks into Kiyoharu who is now smoking on the room.
“Let me take a break for a while,” Kiyoharu said to Shin who still glares at him. He knows Shin will be mad if they’re stopped in the middle of their rehearsal. But he always enjoys teasing Shin like this.
“Okay then, lets rest for a while,” Hitoki, the bassist of the band, put his bass into its place.
“Hitoki!” Shin now began to glares at Hitoki.
“Kiyoharu is right, we need some time off for a while. We will played non-stop on the stage, we had to maintain our stamina and take a rest,” Hitoki sits in other couch, aside of Kiyoharu.
“Well then, I guess it can’t be help,” Shin finally agrees with the other two and put his guitar back into its place. “But next time don’t defend that lazy boy over there,” Shin pointed to Kiyoharu who still enjoys his smoke.
“I’m not lazy, I just feel bored,” Kiyoharu says and then he takes two papers on the desk right in front of him. “Look, I already made a new song,”
“Wow, you really are fast when it comes to creating a new song,” Hitoki complimented him and take the paper.
Shin came into Kiyoharu and sits beside him. He seriously looking at the paper when Kiyoharu gave him the copied of the same lyric that he made and reading the lyrics that Kiyoharu made. He didn’t realize that Kiyoharu isn’t looking at the paper too but looking at Shin’s face instead.
For a long time, he secretly had a crush with Shin. He didn’t know when it began but he feels a lot more comfortable beside Shin rather than Hitoki. Not that he hates Hitoki, but he feels more attracted to Shin. His plays, his attitude, and then…… his lips. He really loves to kiss him. The warmth of his lips, the taste of his tongue. It makes him more excited.
“Hey, what are you lookin’ at?” Shin feels uncomfortable when he sees Kiyoharu’s face really near beside him.
“Ah,nothing. So what do you think about that?” Kiyoharu’s mind came back to reality now. He forces himself away from Shin. Its so stupid that he unconsciously became closer to him than he’s expected.
“Have you done the arrangements for these?” ask Shin.
“Yeah. But do you like the lyrics?” Kiyoharu stand and get his acoustic guitar.
“What do you think about that, Hitoki-kun?” Shin asked to Hitoki who still reading Kiyoharu’s lyric.
“Hmmmm, you should change the lyrics here a little bit,” Hitoki’s pointing at some of the words written there.

Rehearsal time is over. Tomorrow they will have to perform in a club, here in Nagoya. Its almost midnight now. Kiyoharu put his belongings into his bag while Shin and Hitoki preparing to go home.
“Do you want something to eat, guys?” asked Kiyoharu to the other two members.
“Nope. I’ll just gonna straight to bed and prepare for tomorrow,” Hitoki answers while he wear off his bag.
“How about you,Shin-kun?” Kiyoharu look into his other bandmates. Inside he was hoping that Shin won’t rejected his inivitation.
“Its already late, Kiyoharu. We have to prepared for tomorrow,” Shin replied. But when he see that Kiyoharu feels a little disappointed, he quickly added, “But if you want to, I can accompany you.”
“Really? That would be great,” Kiyoharu can’t hide his excitement.
“Then, I will take a rest for today. Otsukaresama,” Hitoki nodded to the other two and leave as soon as they replied to his words.
“So, where we gonna eat tonight?” ask Shin to Kiyoharu.
Kiyoharu is 7 month younger than him. Shin always treat Kiyoharu like a younger brother, but somehow that was changed when suddenly Kiyoharu kissed him on stage. At first, Shin was shocked. He didn’t think that Kiyoharu would do that to him. Shin is not having any objection with that actually, but that really changed his feeling towards Kiyoharu. He didn’t tell anyone that he no longer see Kiyoharu as his younger brother. Now its more than that. He always thinks about Kiyoharu at his home. He can’t get rid of Kiyoharu’s face from his mind. He knows he shouldn’t be like that. That’s why he never changes his attitude in front of Kiyoharu. He doesn’t want him to know what’s exactly on his mind now.
“I know a place here that serves a delicious ramen, lets eat there,” Kiyoharu then walked in front of Shin. Shin followed him from behind.

Its kinda awkward for Shin walking beside Kiyoharu and feels that his heart beats faster than usual. He tried so hard to refuse doing anything to the younger bandmates beside him even though his mind keep on saying to just grabbed Kiyoharu’s hand or hold his shoulder like Kiyoharu always do to him on stage.
The younger one seems not having that awkward feeling. He keeps on telling about their upcoming concert and about the band that he likes. Then he suddenly stops.
“What’s wrong?” ask Shin when Kiyoharu suddenly stopped.
“Isn’t that Hitoki-kun?” Kiyoharu pointed to across the street where they walked. There are two people in the street across them. A man with a long black hair and a girl with a brown hair. Shin didn’t recognize him for a while.
“Maybe you’re just mistaken him with Hitoki,”
“No, I’m sure its Hitoki-kun,” Kiyoharu looks really serious. “That girl, isn’t she the one that came the other day when we were performing in Tokyo and that girl came into the backstage? So that is Hitoki-kun’s girlfriend?”
“So what if she’s his girlfriend? As long as he still want to play with us, why not?” Shin seems didn’t interested with that. “Come on, you said you’re hungry right?”
But then they saw that girl kissed Hitoki on his lips. Kiyoharu looks a little bit surprised.
“I always thought Hitoki-kun is someone who won’t show his romance in public places like this,”
“Its Valentine’s now. Everyone are in the mood of love,” Shin still acting like he didn’t care but deep down inside, he have to admit that he want to kiss Kiyoharu too.
“Shin-kun,” Kiyoharu looks into Shin now. “Don’t you want to have a girlfriend too?”
“Right now, nope. I just want to focus on making my music with both of you and Hitoki. But someday I know we will have to get married and have a kids,” Shin replied and walking past Kiyoharu.
Kiyoharu finally followed him, “Don’t you have someone that you like?”
Shin looks at Kiyoharu then replied with a small laugh, “What’s this question all about? Are you in the mood of Valentine’s too?”
“Nope, I’m just curious. If you already have a girlfriend, your girlfriend will be mad at me if I kiss you on stage,” Kiyoharu replied with a smile.
“What about you? Don’t you have a girlfriend too?” Shin asked back.
“Nope,” Kiyoharu briefly replied.
“Why? You have a lot of fangirls, and not to mention that you’re the most good looking one in our band,”
Kiyoharu laughed, “Its not that simple. I want to have a girlfriend that I truly loved. And also I’m too busy with our band,” suddenly he looks into one of the convenience store that still opens there. “Wait here, I want to buy something,” Kiyoharu then enters the convenience store, leaving Shin outside waiting for him.

At the ramen restaurant
“What is it that you buy?” Shin curiously looking into Kiyoharu who still enjoying his ramen.
“Its not important,” he answered after he finished eating his last piece of ramen.
“Is it a chocolate?”
Kiyoharu stares at Shin for a while. Yeah, it must be that obvious if he buys a chocolate for a Valentine’s gift. The thing that Shin didn’t know is to whom he will give that chocolate. He wouldn’t know. Shin was always seems like he don’t care about anything around him. He just cares about Kuroyume and about the music that they played. Shin will just believe that he kissed because of the fans that want them to do the fanservice. Hitoki always refused to do a fanservice and also too tense to do that. Hitoki always got the image of the coolest among the three of them, that’s why Kiyoharu decided to do that with Shin.
“Just guessed it,” Kiyoharu put the chopsticks above the bowl.
“I always thought we’re not celebrating it,” Shin replied.
“Well, I just bought it for myself,” Kiyoharu drinks the green tea that he ordered.
“Really?” Shin looks like he does not believe Kiyoharu’s words after all. Someone like Kiyoharu bought a choco for himself is just unbelievable. He must have bought it for someone else. Someone that Shin doesn’t know. Someone that he likes. Suddenly Shin feels uncomfortable.
“Is it for a girl?” Shin can’t hesitate himself to ask.
Kiyoharu laughed a bit, “Why is it very important to you? Are you jealous with that?”
Shin shrugged, “I’m just curious,”
“You didn’t curious about Hitoki-kun’s girlfriend,” Kiyoharu stares at Shin. Indeed, Shin looks like he’s jealous. He didn’t even stares back at him.
“Well, that’s……,” Shin tried to think about the words that he should say now, but it seems all the words is missing, “Because this is you that we’re talking about,”
“Then? What’s the difference?” A smirk came out in Kiyoharu’s face. He’s exactly can guess what comes next from Shin.
“Because you’re more like my brother,” Shin gave the answers that suddenly he regretted. This is actually the right time to confessed, but he missed that opportunity.
“Ah, that’s right,” Kiyoharu stares back to the empty bowl in front of him. ‘What am I thinking? Of course Shin-kun will always think of me as his brother. Stupid,’
“Its really late now. I’ll take you home,” Shin paid for the food and waiting for Kiyoharu to followed him.
“Alright,” Both of them left the ramen restaurant.

1993, February 14
Shin accompanied Kiyoharu back into his house, but Kiyoharu seems like he does not really want that.
“What happened?” Shin asked after Kiyoharu became so quiet near his house. The situation there is so quiet. Everyone is already fall asleep. No wonder because its already early in the morning.
“Nothing,” Kiyoharu shrugged.
“I know there’s something wrong. What happened?”
“I’m just thinking. Do we really need a girlfriend now?” Kiyoharu looks up into the sky. The stars are still shining brightly but the air is cold. His black short hair kinda messed up because of the cold wind that blown.
“That girlfriend thing again, huh? I thought you really don’t care about that,” Shin looks elsewhere. ‘Why he keeps on thinking about getting a girlfriend?’ said Shin on his minds.
“I’m just wondering, if I can get a boyfriend,” Kiyoharu smiles then stares at Shin.
“WHAT?!” Shin almost get choked. “What do you mean a boyfriend?”
Kiyoharu laughed. “Look at you, Shin-kun. Your expression is funny,”
“Don’t talk about my expression. What do you mean a boyfriend? Do you really mean that?” Shin still got that surprised looks on his face.
Kiyoharu put up his thinking pose. “Saa, I don’t know. What do you think?”
“Why you’re asking me? Its you who said that anyway,” Shin let out a sigh.
“Shin-kun,” Kiyoharu grabbed Shin’s hand and give him a small present in his hand. A small box of chocolate with a cute red ribbon on it. “Happy Valentine. This is my Valentine’s gift for you,” Kiyoharu give his sweetest smile.
Shin was speechless for a while. Then he replied, “Thank you,”
“Well, its getting cold here. You should get back home now, Shin-kun,” Kiyoharu turned his back and going into his house, but Shin grabbed his hand, “Wait,”
“What?” Before Kiyoharu finished his question, suddenly Shin hugged him tight.
“Shin-kun?”
“I love you,” Shin whispers that in Kiyoharu’s ear. He can’t hold his feelings anymore. He decided now, that he didn’t want to lose Kiyoharu anymore.
Kiyoharu still don’t believe it, but its real. He is now in Shin’s arms and Shin just whispered that he loves him. Unbelievable. Kiyoharu tried to look into Shin’s eyes. There’s no doubt about it. This is real. “But I thought I’m just your brother,”
“You’re not anymore,” Shin finally smiles and kissed Kiyoharu then they make out there.
“So,” said Shin in the break of their kisses, “is that mean you accept me?”
“Of course,” Kiyoharu closer his face into Shin’s and then doing his favorite plays with Shin’s tongue. “I love you too,”
Shin then kissed his forehead, “Go to sleep now. See you tomorrow,” after that he let off his hugging and said goodbye to Kiyoharu as Kiyoharu go back home with his lovely smile on his face.
