Author Notes: so this is the first fic challenge from my friend that wants me to make a fic with military theme, especially an air force. the making of this fic is really challenging because I only got 3 days to finished it and must checked through several fighter jet videos, also asking to my mom about an air force because my grandfather used to be a member of Indonesian Air Force. This fic was made to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indonesian Army Forces and I managed to finished it on October 5th, the same day as the anniversary of Indonesian Forces.
I'm also very sorry if there's any mistakes in this fic regarding the army.
I might be the first to write this theme for a JxIno fic :D anyway, please enjoy.

KISSING IN THE COSMOS (Second Part)
Today is still Jun's day off and Inoran decided to take him to an amusement park,
along with their friends, Sugizo and Shinya. Sugizo and Shinya are actually
their senpai when they were in school and Inoran used to hang out with them.
They once created a band but when Jun went to the military, the band was
disbanded.
"Hey,
fighter," Sugizo give a friendly hug to Jun. "How's your job?"
"Just
fine. I got an air show after this, so today might be the last day I can have
some fun," Jun grins.
Inoran
stares at Jun for a while. That bad feeling comes again after he heard those
words. But today they supposed to have some fun, so he tried his best to not
showing his worries
to Jun.
They
spend the day taking the fun rides and that includes riding one of the most
intense roller-coasters
in Japan. Shinya passed that ride because he's afraid of heights, Sugizo
decided to accompany Shinya,
so only Jun and Inoran that ride the roller coaster.
The
Fujiyama roller coaster got a top-peak
as high as 79 meters and by the time they get on the ride, Inoran already feels
so excited. He always deals
with speed in a car
race, but high-speed combine with an extreme height? That's definitely what Jun
always has to deal with.
The
train starts to climb up to the top hill. Jun looks very excited.
"If
it's an F-15, the acceleration will be much faster, right?" Inoran try to
break the silence.
"Of
course. And we can go up vertically after a take-off. On a high-speed."
Jun grins.
"Dealing
with this kind of thing must be very easy for you now."
"Yeah,"
Jun said. "But it's different. Although in here, you can feel a little bit of g-force that I have
to deal whenever I'm flying."
The
train almost reach the top hill.
"Are
you afraid?" Jun stares at Inoran for a while.
"Eh?
No! I'm excited!" To be honest, Inoran feels a little bit nervous right
now. He doesn't expect that being on this ride will be this intense.
"Don't
lie. You're afraid, right?"
"No,
I'm not!" Inoran keep denied that he feels nervous. It may look so stupid
that he get nervous riding this roller coaster after he told everyone that he
took the same air force entry test with Jun.
The
train now arrives at its top hill and seconds later, it goes down with a
high-speed. Inoran screaming while Jun just laughing with happiness. He takes a
glance at Inoran that still screaming beside him and decided to take his hand
and entwined their fingers. Inoran hold his hand so tight while Jun just grins.
After
they finished the ride, Sugizo and Shinya that waiting for them notice their
entwined fingers.
"So,
did you confess your love while screaming up there?" Sugizo grins.
Inoran
quickly release their joined fingers. "What are you talking about? That
roller coaster is so intense! I only have time for screaming!"
Shinya
silently approaching Jun, "you should try to ask him if you really care
for him."
"I
can do that later," Jun replies, watching Inoran and Sugizo that walk in
front of them. Then as his eyes caught sight of another cool ride, he taps
Inoran's shoulder. "Hey, before I take you riding my Pyro, how about a
warm-up first?" Jun points at the Takabisha, the world steepest roller coaster.
"I
pass. I'm gonna die if I ride that," Shinya commented.
"That's
really extreme," Sugizo also commented. "But well, I might take
it."
"Okay,
I'm in." Inoran said.
Even
though Sugizo said that he's gonna join them, but at the end, it's only Jun and
Inoran again that rides the roller coaster.
It's
more extreme than before and even though it's fun, Inoran's face looks pale.
Jun sits next to him on the bench, gives him water and tries to calm him down.
Despite
his condition, Inoran said that he's very excited with that and smiles happily
to Jun after he said that he's gonna wait for the chance to fly together with
him. Jun actually wants to hugs Inoran that time, but he decided not to do it.
He only smiles back at Inoran. At least, Inoran is happy today and that also
brings happiness to him too. Nothing is more precious than to see Inoran’s smile.

It's
time for Jun to come back to his dorm. Inoran decided to accompany him back to
his headquarter.
As
Jun stepped out from Inoran's Ferrari, one of his friend, Ryo, greeted him. Ryo
is Jun's kouhai, he always have a high respect to Jun, especially after Jun
taught him several trick on playing bass.
What
Jun didn't know is that Ryo is also a fan of car race, more exactly, he's a fan
of Inoran. So when Inoran stepped out from the car too, he gets over-excited and
approaching Inoran.
"So
you really are friends with Inoran! I'm your fans, Inoran-san! I always support
you!" Ryo cheerfully said to Inoran.
"Jun-san
always kept your photos on his locker. Our leader once thought that you are his
girlfriend," Ryo said before Jun quickly shut his mouth and walks away
with him.
Inoran
watch them with a smile. He still has this worries feeling right now. Although
he already convinced himself that everything is gonna be okay, but deep down
inside he's really afraid because he never felt something like this before.

Inoran
hits the gas pedal but he still can't pass the car in front of him. As a
result, he finished second today. He feels slightly pissed off. But he knows it
because he loses his concentration.
Ever
since Jun gave him the ticket to his air show, he can't stop
thinking about that. His worries are getting stronger.
Inoran
sigh. Maybe it's because he’s too tired, that's
why he imagining things like that. He decided to take a break after this
championship ends.
His
personal manager can only agree with him, thinking that maybe he will be more
focused after he takes a break.
Inoran
holds the ticket to the air show as he went home.
'Everything
is gonna be okay. Jun won't make a mistake.' He keeps repeating those words
inside his mind. After all, Jun already got more experience about flying the
fighter jet. He knows what to do on tomorrow's air show.

"You
should have pulled up a few seconds earlier than that," one of his team
commented when they enter the changing room.
"Yeah,
I kinda messed up with that," Jun grabs his shirt that he keeps in the
locker.
"Do
not make any mistake, even though the audience might not realize that, but we
know it, a few seconds can turn into a disaster."
Jun
nods.
"Hey,
your cute friend is going to watch us tomorrow, right?" Takashi, one of
his team-mate approaching
him and wraps
his arm on Jun's shoulder.
"Inoran?
Yeah, he's gonna come."
"Well........
Do you think he likes man? I mean, someone like me," that words makes Jun
suddenly laugh.
"Oh,
come on, he already got a girlfriend."
"Takashi-san,
you better not expecting so much," Matsuda, another team-mate commented.
"He already belongs to J."
Jun
grins, closing his locker and wear his shirt.
"Really?"
Takashi stares at Jun.
"Of
course. J likes him so much, right J?"
Jun
replies them with a smile. "I'm leaving," he grabs his cellphone,
informing Inoran about the formation that they will performed tomorrow through
a message. He will do a solo maneuver tomorrow, so he must make sure that
Inoran will watch him performed.

The
day finally comes. Inoran, accompanied by Sugizo, Shinya and Ryuichi already
arrived at the airport to watch the air show. Lots of fighter
jets, several small plane and helicopters can be seen near the runway.
Inoran
looks so excited. He always loved an air show like this, and
today he will watch Jun performed an aerobatic play with his beloved F-15.
After
a few attractions, now it's time for the F-15 team to perform.
Inoran
looks up to the sky, his heart beating so fast. His feeling is mixed between
anxiety and worries. He can only pray that this show will be a great success and Jun is
safe.
Four fighter jets take off. At first, Inoran doesn't recognize which one is Jun's,
but when he see the fire sticker, he let out a smile, "that's Jun,"
he said, almost shouting to his friends, pointing at the middle front fighter
jet.
"Jun,
ganbare!" He knows that his shout won't reach him, but that make his
friends also shout Jun's name.
The
F-15 team makes several maneuvers, including the one where they fly above the audience heads, then separate
themselves into five different directions. Inoran can see that Jun's plane is
heading vertically to the sky and he can guess that Jun is going to do the
loop.
Suddenly,
the promise bracelet that he always use broke off. Inoran seems surprised with
that, because it never broke off before. He kneels down to grab the bracelet
that broke into two and as he looks up, he realizes the meaning of the bad feeling that he always felt recently.

"Okay
team, let's go!" The instructor said before they go to their own jets.
Jun
is a little bit nervous right now, it's the first time he's being the middle
one on his team and do the solo maneuver.
He
releases his breath, slaps his face several times and put his hand on the
rudder. He must not make any kind of mistakes today. He must stay calm.
'Remember
Jun, after this is over, you can have another date with Ino,' he tried to
suggest himself with that thought.
The
engine is on.
The
preparation is done.
Jun
waits for
the ground officer to give
the signal that it is
okay to take off. Once the signal is given, he start to take off vertically and then
joins up with his team, making a formation. They fly across the audience stage
and then after that, Jun must separate from his team and doing a single
maneuver.
It
all went smooth, Jun managed to do the vertical climb and he's about to turn
around by doing the loop when suddenly something went wrong. He can't pull up.
He tried so hard, handling the rudder so the plane would climb up but failed.
He's now falling with a high speed to the ground. Only a few seconds away
before he definitely will be smashed
into the ground. He do the last thing he could remember, which is ejected from
the plane, although he definitely will get serious injuries in this kind of
speed. He got no choice left.
He
couldn't remember anything, because it all went so fast. All he could feel now
is just an extreme pain on his body, he can't move his leg, his head feels very
dizzy and then there's a huge fire. It's Pyro, the fighter jet that he always used, now
already turn into a ball of fire. Many people come to him and quickly helped
him, taking him into an ambulance. His sight starts to blurred. It may be just an
illusion but he thought he saw Inoran's face among those people that came to
him. Maybe just an illusion.
Jun
closed his eyes.

Inoran
put the flower that he brought
to the vase near the hospital bed. Jun's older sister is there, sitting next to
his brother, but when she sees Inoran is coming, she stand up and give the seat
to Inoran.
Jun
is awake. He got a fractured left leg, with a serious injury on his hand and
his head wrapped in a bandage.
It's
already a few days passed after that incident. Inoran knew from Jun's mother
that Jun probably can't be a fighter jet pilot anymore. That makes Jun feels
depressed and his family wants Inoran to always stay by his side, because
Inoran is the only one that can makes Jun feels better. That makes Inoran
mostly spend his days on the hospital, causing him to finally break up with his
girlfriend. He just can't leave Jun, especially in times like this.
A
nurse comes, saying that it's time to have a checkup on Jun's condition. Inoran
helps Jun moving from the
bed to the wheelchair and still accompany
him during the checkup.
Starting
tomorrow, Jun can start the physiotherapy until he could finally recover and
walk normally again.
As
Inoran pushed the wheelchair after Jun finished the checkup, Jun said,
"I'm really pathetic."
"No,
you're not. Stop calling yourself like that."
"I
supposed to die that time."
Inoran
stops pushing the wheelchair then standing in front of Jun. "Go ahead.
Kill yourself, you stupid!"
Jun
let out a sigh.
"Listen,
you still have me! You can still recover from this! You still have your own
future!"
"But
I can't fulfill my promise!"
"Who
the fuck cares about that promise! I don't mind if you can't filled our
promise! As long as you can still live," Inoran stares at Jun. "If you
can't be a jet pilot again, you can take another job, like a musician. We can
create our band again. Your future isn't gonna stopped just because you can't
be a pilot or joining
the army anymore." Inoran grabs Jun's hand. "Let's try it,
okay?"
Jun
keeps staring at Inoran. Deep inside he knows that Inoran is right. Although he
still feel disappointed to his own self that he missed to double checked his plane that time.
He feels disappointed that he failed to make a good performance. He feels disappointed
that this accident makes him have to give up his dream.
"I
need time to think about it," Jun trying to move away from Inoran.
"I'll
join you if you really want to revive our band again," Inoran's words
makes Jun turns his head again.
"And how about your
career?"
"Being
musician is more fun," Inoran smiles. "We can be ourselves when we
create our music. I'm not really good at competitive sport like that."
That
makes Jun smiles too. He realized
now who is the one that
he wants in his life. Only Inoran.

Two
years later
"Wait,
are you kidding?" Inoran stares at Jun with disbelief.
"It's
alright. I already got permission," Jun said that with confidence. He
gives Inoran a helmet because they're going to ride his bike.
Inoran
seems a little bit hesitate before he finally accepted the helmet and put it on
his head.
Jun
sits on his bike after putting on his own helmet and turn on the engine.
"I already made a promise to you, right?"
"And
I already told you that you don't need to do that promise again." Inoran
take the seat behind Jun, he wrapped his arms on Jun's waist.
Jun
doesn't say anything, he just drives his bike away, crossing the streets, through
the hustle of the traffic and going on until
they reach the more quiet area. They arrived to
the small airport base that often used as a training place for pilots. A small
plane already moved from inside the hangar to the side of the runway.
Inoran
felt a little bit nervous now as they are approaching that place.
Jun
parked his bike in the parking lot and walk to the building. Inoran walk behind
him and he takes the time to watch everything around him when Jun talking to some
guys who worked there.
The
sky is clear today. The weather is nice. Perfect for a trip using a small plane.
Inoran
used to travel by plane when he was a racer, but this is the first time he takes
a flight with Jun as the pilot. He have to admit that he still have a trauma of
what happened to Jun during the air show years ago. He can still remember when
he saw Jun bleeding from his head, unconscious and being taken to the
ambulance. He even had
a trauma whenever he saw a fighter jet flying above him after that accident.
"Alright,
everything will be ready in a few minutes. Let's get on the plane," Jun
grabs Inoran's hand, guiding him to enter the Cessna plane that already parked
there.
They
get in to the cockpit area. Jun sits on the pilot seat, Inoran beside him.
"I actually didn't know what to do here." Inoran says.
"Don't
worry, I already passed the training to make this thing fly," Jun grins
and prepare everything that he needs to check before the flight.
"Okay...."
Inoran fasten his seatbelt, "you know, ever since I saw you that day, I
had a trauma of taking a flight."
"I
know, that's why I do this." Jun starts the engine, doing his report and
it just needs a few minutes before they finally take off.
Inoran
looks scared at first but when he sees the scenery below, that fear turns into
an excitement. "Woow. I really regret that I failed the pilot test,"
he commented.
"It's
much easier to do this than making the F-15 fly," Jun replies. He takes
him wandering around for a moment before he finally says, "actually, I
have one regret that always stuck in my mind."
"What?
That you failed to perform and your parents told you to quit the air force?"
"Nope."
Jun takes
a sharp turn with the plane. "I always regret that during my time in air
force team, I never said about my feeling, until it was too late. I really
thought I was going to
died back then. Luckily, I'm still alive, so I won't let this chance slip away
anymore."
"That's
good! You shouldn't waste any chances now..."
"I
love you." Jun take a glance at Inoran. "I really do love you."
Inoran
doesn't expect this at all. "What?!" He stares at Jun with a surprise
look on his face.
Jun
laugh. "Why? Is that wrong?"
"No...
I mean... Me? Really? Since when?"
"Since
we met."
".....
Really?"
"No,
I'm just kidding."
"Junjun....."
Jun
turns around once more before preparing for the landing. He glance at Inoran
who still thinking about Jun's words, moves his body closer and give him a
brief kiss on his lips, that makes Inoran's face turns red.
"Stay
beside me, Ino-chan. I want you to stay in my life."
Inoran
looks confused. "Is this a joke too?"
"Nope.
I really meant that."
Inoran
just stay quiet for a while. As they approaching the runway and about to do
landing, he finally says, "we are twinbee, right? We'll never be
separated."
Jun
managed to do landing. "One more thing...."
"Which
is?"
"I
don't know how to stop this plane."
"Whaaaat?!
Oh God, Jun, you must be kidding, right?!" Inoran looks panic.
Jun
just laugh. At least he already got the answer that he needs.
He managed to stop the plane nearly at the end
of the runway.
Today
is definitely another day to remember in his life.

Inoran
awakes because of the noise that came from his living room. He put a pillow on
his head and back to sleep again, but the noise still disturbs him.
He
sighs and decided to move from the bed.
"Geez,
turn the volume down, will you? It's so noisy." Inoran rubs his eyes while
complain to the man who is now sitting on the carpet, wearing only his boxer shorts
and his hand holding the game controller.
Jun laugh and do what
Inoran told him to. "Come here, have a sit."
Inoran
stares at him for a moment, then sitting on his lap, leaning his head on the
man's shoulder. He can see the necklace that Jun wears, the same necklace now wrap around his
neck, a proof that they are now on an intimate relationship.
"Junjun,
do you really miss your times with them?" Inoran asks when he stares at
the TV screen. Jun is playing another fighter jet simulation game.
"A
little bit," Jun wraps his hand around Inoran's body. "It's easier in a
game. Imagine if we are riding on this plane like this," Jun intentionally
moves his hand lower, almost touching Inoran's private area. "You can't
drive it while being naked," Jun laugh.
Inoran
turns his head up,
touching Jun's face and kiss his lips passionately, licking Jun's lips and
playing with his tongue.
"And
you definitely can't drive it while having sex, right?" Inoran gives him a
teasing wink.
"Of
course." Jun stops the game, put the controller away and makes Inoran turns his body, so he’s now sitting on
Jun’s lap while facing
him. Jun’s hand starts to caress Inoran’s back and getting
lower when Inoran wraps his arms around Jun’s neck.
"Jun..."
"Yeah?"
"I
love you."
Jun
gives him a sweet smile, "I love you too," he mumbles that words
before kissing Inoran's lips once again.
