Author Notes: Finally the long and awaited chapter two of Sennenka. On this part, the flashback to the past is written in italic to make it different with the present era.

and just a reminder, for the samurai era, I took the inspiration from Gohatto and manga Kaze Hikaru.

for this part, the story contains both Jun and Ino part.

CHAPTER 2: THE PRESENT

Ino stares at the scenery around him. Apparently he took a wrong bus and it's kinda far from his house.

A car suddenly stops beside him as he walks along the street. "Hey, pretty, wanna take a ride with me?" An adult man winks at him.

"I'm a boy." Ino replies clearly.

"Oh... It's alright then. Don't be shy, let's go somewhere else."

Ino stops. The man grins and preparing to get out from the car when suddenly Ino runs. After almost kidnapped, now a man wanted to date him? That really scared him. What the hell is wrong with these people?!

Ino runs without knowing exactly where he is right now. It's enough dealing with sick men like that, he just wants to get some rest.

He stops after a while to catch his breath and take a look around. Even though it's not the area near his house but he's already familiar with the scenery. It's the street to Jun's house.

He walks faster with a smile on his face. At least Jun won't mind if he stay for the night. He could use an excuse such as studying together to Jun's parents.

Luckily, by the time he reach Jun's house, his father is outside the house. After telling Jun's father that he comes for studying together with Jun, he is allowed to enter the house.

"Ah, Inoue-kun," Jun's mother greets him cheerfully. Once again he said his excuse to Jun's mother then his mother told his sister to called Jun.

"Are you gonna stay for the night, dear? I'm gonna told Jun to prepare the extra bed for you," said his mother. It's totally different than her mother who thinks that Jun is a bad boy and told Ino to just stay away from him because the other parents think that Jun will give him a bad influence.

Ino smiles happily when he see Jun coming. He feels relieve and safe, after what happened to him earlier tonight.

Jun stares at Ino who sits in front of him. He does not believe that Ino stay only for study. And finally, after Jun allowed him to call to his house and informing his parents that he stay on a friend's house, Ino told him the truth. That he was almost kidnapped by a man, then another man also wanted to take him away on the street.

Of course. Ino's pretty face will make some pervert old man trying to kidnap him. But at least he comes here safely.

"If I know who's the man that wants to kidnap you, I'll surely gonna kill him." Jun said after he put the extra futon for Ino. "I'm gonna slice him." He added while Ino just sit and stares at him. Ino seems like wants to say something but he keeps his mouth shut after hearing Jun's words.

Jun puts the blanket for Ino while thinking about his words earlier. Slice? Instead of many ways of killing, why he choose slice?

"You don't have to do that," Ino finally reply.

"But I want to." Jun said, while staring at Ino. "I don't want anyone to hurt you."

Ino then smiles, "thanks, but I am here now, you don't have to worry about that. Now, let's go to sleep." Ino lying on the futon after Jun tossed him the pillow. He grabs his blanket to cover his body while Jun also lying on his bed.

Still, Jun can't sleep. He just stares at the ceiling. He must do something to get rid of that image of him kissing Ino's lips.

"Jun?" Ino's voice heard.

"Yeah?"

"Shinya-senpai said he wanted to join our band, only if Sugihara-senpai can join our band too. Sugihara-senpai is a bassist too, right? We can't have two bassists in one band. What should we do? Should we reject him?" Ino asks.

Jun doesn't answer him. Their band needs a new drummer since their current drummer will going to a college and doesn't want to stay in the band anymore. But Ino is right, they can't have two bassist at the same time.

"Will you give up your position?"

"No fuckin way. I want to be a great bassist!" Jun said. Up until now, his dream about being a great bassist in rock music hasn’t changed even just a little bit. He's gonna keep his position, no matter what. Besides, he can watch Ino from his position on stage.

Another silence.

"Let's think about that later and go to sleep now." Otherwise he'll be doing something to him.

Ino keep staring at the wall, he turns his body so he can see the bass that Jun put near his shelf. They will face their graduation day soon and Ino still thinking whether he will continue his study to a college or not. His parents, of course, want him to go to a college.

"Do you already decide which college that you will take after we graduate?" Ino popped out that question all of a sudden.

"Yeah, and I decided to not going into a college." Jun's answer making Ino turn around and face Jun again.

"Why?" That actually surprising, because Ino thought he will continue his study.

"I decided to pursue my career in music. It's not important to go to college as long as I can still played music, right? I'll just find a job so I can buy my own stuff." Jun explained.

Ino nods silently. Should he do that too? But his parents will be very disappointed because they already bought him the books for college entry test.

"Hey," Jun called.

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to try something?" Jun is sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Like what?" Ino slowly rose from his position.

"Come here."

Ino stares at Jun for a while. Actually he wants to have a moment like this, he even dreams of it, of having a night together with Jun. But it's all too fast.

"It's alright, come on!" Jun told him to come over. Ino decided that it's now or never so he finally move and sit beside Jun. It's kinda awkward at first because he always remember about the kiss they shared before, but Jun caressed his face tenderly.

"I don't want to hurt you, but I need to make sure one thing first. Do you... Like me?"

Ino nods. He feels very nervous now. "So much..." He added slowly.

Jun smiles then moves closer to kiss him. Ino gasp for a second before finally let himself go and makes the kiss more passionate. Jun pushed his tongue inside, ravaging Ino's mouth. Ino let out a moan and his hand slowly encircled Jun's neck.

Jun slowly trying to unbutton Ino's shirt. Ino stops his kissing for a while, he starts to feel confused about what's gonna happen next.

"Don't worry." Jun reassuring him.

"But.... Are you sure?" Ino asking once again. It's his first time and he really need to know about whether Jun is being serious or just teasing.

"I'm sure, besides it's not like you're gonna be pregnant, right," Jun grins. "So, just take it easy." Jun starts to kiss Ino's neck and down to Ino's shoulder.

"But your parents........"

"It will be okay if we don't make too much noise," Jun stops his kissing and takes off his own shirt.

As he lays Ino on the bed, that nervous feeling engulfed Ino more than before. He doesn't expect that Jun will do this. But he knows that maybe they don’t have more chance to do this if he enters the college. He will be very busy and he doesn't even know if he can still join a band or not.

Ino awkwardly trying to close his eyes as Jun kisses his chest and sucks his nipples. This reminds him of the time when he saw Jun making out with a girl after the school is over. Like usual, Ino and Jun were hanging around with their gang and Ino didn't know that Jun also took his date to hang out there. He feels uneasy as he caught Jun kissed her in the corner, passionately smashed their lips together.

And now finally he gets his turns. He doesn't realize that Jun already take off his pants. The moment he realized that, Jun's mouth is already on his hard erection. Ino unconsciously let out a loud moan which makes Jun have to close his mouth with his hand.

Ino trying so hard not to moan that loud again. But the way Jun licks and sucks him almost making him feels crazy. Jun must have experienced this before or maybe he's just that naturally talented. Either way, Ino almost can't stand it.

Jun finished his blow job, then releasing his short so they are fully naked now. He moves away from Ino for a while to take a bottle of lube and a condom that he hides in his study desk.

"Do you really want to do it?" Ino asks.

"Of course, why? You don't want it?" Jun approaching Ino.

"But...." Ino blushed, "this is my first time..."

"It's alright," Jun caressed Ino's hair. "Have you ever read or watch porn?"

Ino nods.

"Then it will be easy. Just don't be so tense," Jun kiss his lips again. "But be quiet, ok?"

"How can I do that?"

Jun grins. Ino is really cute now. So the rumor about he have no experience is true. He's really a typical of a good boy. Now he feels like he wants to tease him more.

Jun used his fingers to touch Ino's body, from his neck, shoulder, chest, torso, then moving down to his opening. Jun coating his finger with lube. 

"Jun...." Ino can't finish his words because Jun already inserts a finger. Ino looks uneasy, but when he insert another finger, his expression starts to change, he begin to moan while clenching his hand. Jun grins again. Finally he gets the right spot.

Ino's hand starts to pull him closer and passionately kissing his lips, he doesn't give any chance for Jun to stop. But they have to stop it to take a breath.

Jun smiles as he's now seeing the side of Ino that no one ever see it before. He pulls out his finger then starts to use his condom.

"Get ready, Ino-chan," he said before asking Ino to turn over. Ino clinging to the bed sheet.

Jun kisses his neck and shoulder to make him more relax as he begins to enter him slowly. With one hand holding Ino's waist, Jun used the other hand to cover Ino's mouth so his parents or sister won't hear his scream.

"You'll feel better after this, trust me." He whisper those word in Ino's ear, after pulling out and trying to enter Ino's tight inside.

"I love you," Jun whispers again and kissing his earlobe. That words works like a charm as Ino slowly begin to relax, making Jun start to thrust faster.

The sound of the bed creaking along with the sound of skin slapping can be heard on Jun's room now, with a soft moan from Ino's mouth.

Jun moves his hand from Ino's waist to Ino's erection, pumping it as he thrust harder.

"Oh God!" Ino almost reach his limit. He's coming faster than he expected when he hear a knocking on Jun's bedroom door. Ino feels panic for a while, "Jun!" he said in a low voice. His hand gripping Jun's hand.

"Relax," Jun grins and kissing Ino's back.

"Jun, would you stop making weird voices from your bedroom? I'm trying to sleep," his sister voice heard.

"Alright, sis," Jun replies while holding Ino's body from behind, pulling him closer. He tries to reach a remote to his music player and plays it to hide the sound they made. 

Jun continuing his thrust after he heard that there's no more complain from his sister, he sometimes moaning in Ino's ear. The intense heat and pleasure rising making him reaching his limit and explode inside Ino's body. He kisses Ino's lips, a post-making love kiss and turns him over to lie on the bed.

"Are you okay?" Jun said to Ino, still holding him in his arms.

"I guess..... A little bit sore though..."

Jun kisses his lips again. He cuddles Ino and closes his eyes, slowly drifted to the dream world.

He stared at someone in front of him who still closing his eyes. Such a perfect, strong and muscular body, radiating his masculine charm that he couldn't resist. He moved his finger to caress the man's body, feeling every inch of his naturally built up muscles.

He really loved him. Totally in love that he even have no longer desire to made love with his opposite sex. This man was the reason why he could still live until now. Otherwise he would already runaway or tried to kill himself. He want to treasure this moment longer, because he didn't want to come back to the headquarter and facing his senpais. But he have to, otherwise his father would definitely be mad at him. The only thing that he regrets was the fact that they were on the different sides. The troops that he was forced to join was a part of the emperor loyalist party, while his lover joined the rebel one, the one who was on the side of the restoration. They could face each other in a battle sooner or later, they could even kill each other.

"What are you thinking?" His lover asked.

"If someday we have to face each other, what would happen? Do you think you could kill me?"

The man stared at his lovely eyes, "it depends on the task. If my task is to eliminate all my enemies, then I have no choice," the man caressed his face. "But we can still runaway together, living a peaceful life and away from all of this."

He started to giggle.

"Why are you laughing?"

"I just didn't expect that you could also think of things like that. Do you think a samurai like us will get a peaceful life?"

"If we want to," the man kissed his forehead.

He stay quiet for a while, thinking about the times when he was forced to served his senpai and leader, otherwise he would be kicked out. He was more afraid that his father would killed him if he was kicked out from the troops.

"Why you want to stay with me? With someone as low as me, as dirty as me......" He can't continue because the man kissed him gently.

"I loved you," the man said after the kiss. "Someday I'm gonna kill everyone who made you suffered. I'm gonna slice them."

Ino wakes up, alone, but in a room that is not his own bedroom. He needs a little time to finally remembering what happened last night, then he search for Jun, who apparently just finished his bath. He let out a smile, now that the thing he always wishes for secretly came true. Jun loves him and now they are one step ahead in their relationship.

Time passed by so fast, now they are already graduated from school. Ino following Jun to not taking the college entrance exam. In fact, they decided to make a band, Lunacy, who is now getting more and more spotlight, not just in Kanagawa but also in other part of Japan.

Jun managed to tell his parents that he wants to stay in Japan for a while, to get a higher level in his music career. His parents agreed but they still want him to stay in the US.

His relationship with Ino is steadier too, they often spend the night together in between their part-time jobs and rehearsal schedule.

Right now, Jun is preparing everything for their live when he heard that his father is being hospitalized. So he has no choice but to go to the US after finishing their live here.

Ino and the other bandmate: Sugizo, Shinya and Ryuichi accompany him to the airport. And after exchanging an intimate hug with Ino, he walks through the gate, ready to fly to America.

He spent a few days there and his father condition is getting better. But just when he already told Ino that he will comeback to Japan soon, his sister came.

"Hey, I told a producer about your bass play, and he's interested with you, he wanted to meet you soon. It's a great opportunity, Jun!"

It's great news indeed. Jun accept that offers and meet up with the producer. The producer offers him a chance to collaborate with world-class rockers, but only him and not the other member of Lunacy.

Jun finally comes back to Japan with a mixed feeling. His sister is totally right, it's a great opportunity for his career but then he must leave Lunacy, the band that he started with Ino. He must make the decision soon, between his career and his band. He should think about his future and choose the most important thing for him now.

Snow is falling. The white snow covered some bodies, making a contrast with the ground that was already turned red by the blood.

Ino's hand holding a sword and his right hand holding a head. Yes, a man's head. But he's not afraid at all. He throws it away, followed by a cheer from some men.

He's finally down on his knees beside someone's body, he shakes that person, wanting to wake him up, but the person was not awake. His body already turned cold.

Ino started to cry, started to feel so desperate that he didn't want to leave that person's side. He grab the sword that he used before.

"I no longer have any reason to live," he said, pointing the sword to his own self. He holds the sword with both hands.

"Wait, don't do that!" He can heard someone yell. But it's too late now. Ino stabs himself with the sword.

Pain. There's so much pain on his body. But the more painful thing is his feeling. He pushed the sword deeper, making his mouth taste blood, he even vomitted blood.

As he pulled out the sword, he can't even feel anything except the extreme pain on his body. But he pushed himself to move and entwined his finger with someone.

"We'll be together..... We'll meet again someday......."

Ino wakes up with his hand unconsciously hold something. Not the other person's hand, but some sheet of paper.

Apparently, he fell asleep in the middle of creating a new composition for his song. He sits on the sofa and wondering why that kind of dream comes back again. It's been a while since he dreamt something like that.

Then, later on that day, the news hit him like a thunder hits in a clear blue sky. Jun is going to stay in the US. He got that news from Sugizo.

"What the hell are you thinking about?" Ino never had been so disappointed about Jun like this before.

"I'm sorry. My parents want me to stay, also I have a job offer there," Jun answers.

"But you can refuse them before. Are you going to leave us here like this? After all that we're fighting for," Ino still looks disappointed.

"I know," Jun seems uneasy. "But you can always start a new one. A new band or make a solo career. Besides if you go to US, you can visit me......"

A punch hits Jun's face. But Jun doesn't respond it. He gives Ino a piece of paper, including his contact number and address of his place. With so much disappointed, he left Jun. Scrapping the paper on his hand and accidentally slips it on his jacket. He doesn't want to hear that. It means Lunacy is over. And that's the worst thing he could hear from Jun aside from breakup. Lunacy will be disbanded. It's the worst thing that ever happened to him. Also he will be separated from Jun. Didn't he said that they will be together achieving their dream to be the greatest rock star?

Ino comes back to his apartment, still feeling so pissed off, disappointed, and sad at the same time. He scattered the entire lyric sheet on the table, kicking the table and kneel down on the floor.

Tears started falling from his eyes. How could Jun be so mean with him? Doesn't he ever think of their promise? Of their own future? Why he must choose this way just when Lunacy has gained more popularity? Didn't he enjoy making music with the guys?

He finally stands up, thinking that some beer might calm him down. But when he opens the fridge, his eyes caught something more interesting. He closes the fridge and grab something on his kitchen table. A knife. Would it be painful if he stabs it to his stomach like in his dream?

The last live that they held totally makes Jun amazes. Lots of people there to watch them, mostly feels sad because of the decision of their disbandment. But it's for the best. He couldn't be in two places at the same time. His parents also wanted him to stay there.

Ino still ignores him, after he knew that Jun got signed by an American producer. Jun actually wanted to take him too, but Ino is too disappointed that he won't even talk to Jun.

This somehow makes Jun doubting his decision. But he can't take back his words now.

He should start packing up his stuff now and get ready to move out.

The day finally comes. Sugizo and Shinya had a hard time to convince Ino that he should accompany Jun or at least said goodbye to Jun.

Ino refused to do that and rather spent his day in his room.

"Are you sure?" Sugizo asks once again.

"Yeah," Ino replies briefly.

"You loved him, don't you?"

Ino just stay quiet and grab a cigarette.

"At least you could just show up. Bid him farewell. Then you can go back home," Shinya still persuades him.

"Come on, Ino-chan, we'll never know what's gonna happen next. Don't regret this later." Sugizo finally stands up. He stares at the clock for a while. Jun maybe already arrives at the airport by now.

"We don't have much time, if he won't come with us, then its okay, we're going now." Ryuichi said, twisting his car key.

Sugizo and Shinya nods, leaving Ino alone.

Jun stares at his watch with impatient, he should be in the airport now but this traffic jam holds him here and it's still far from the airport.

He'll gonna miss the flight if he’s not hurries. But how can he get there on time with this traffic jam in front of him? He's stuck here.

Jun reach his phone and called Sugizo. At least last night they already meet at his farewell party, even though Ino didn't came to the party.

Jun stares outside. He will definitely miss Ino.

Ino is still on his house, smoking while watching a tv show, pretending that he's not affected by Jun. But he just can't erase that voice inside his head. 'We'll be together....' Then Sugizo's voice, 'don't regret this later.'

Ino put the cigarette on the ashtray. All the sweet memories between them being replay inside his head.

"Geez!" Ino turn off his tv, grab his jacket and decided to leave the house. He run to the bus stop, just to find out that there's a long queue on the bus stop due to the traffic jam.

"Damn!" He stares at the watch. He'll be late if he insists to take the bus. So he turns around and run to the train station.

Just a moment before the young man stabs the knife to his body, Jun managed to hit his hand with his katana.

"What the hell are you doing?!" He's really pissed off. "Dying won't solve your problem!"

"I'm tired...." The young man said. His hand trembling. "Or maybe you could kill me..."

"Nonsense! I won't do that!" Jun kicked the knife out of his reach. "Listen, I already told you that someday I'm gonna kill those bastards. You should believe in me." Jun sits in front of him. "Until then, you must stay strong, like the way you used to be."

"I don't know... Sometimes I feel like this. Sometimes I feel so tired." The man stares at the ground.

Jun hugged him tightly. "I don't want to lose you now."

The man didn't say anything. He just stays quiet and slowly whispered, "thank you."

Jun still hugged him. It's the first time he ever loved someone like this. Usually he never cared about his own relationship because he often think that it will be troublesome. But now, it's different. He really can't imagine if he lose him.

"Do you think we can still meet again?" The young man asked.

"Of course!"

"Even in the afterlife?"

Jun stay quiet for a while. "Maybe..."

"Even when we're being reborn again?"

Jun release his hug slowly, "why are you asking me something like that?"

The man smiles, "because if we can meet each other again and again, that's mean we are destined to be together."

Jun opens his eyes. The taxi that he rides moves slowly. He already gives up on chasing the plane, so he might take the next flight.

'Destined to be together.' Suddenly Jun think about those words. Could he really find someone who destined to be together with him?

Ino runs to the airport, straight to the departure area. He doesn't remember exactly which flight that Jun takes. He only searches the flight to America on the information board. But then, he find out that the flight already depart not too long ago.

Ino feels really down. He almost cries. Sugi was right, he shouldn't be that hard to himself. Now all that left is just regret. He even lost the paper that has Jun's address in the US. He never felt this stupid before.

It's already too late now. He doesn't know whether he could meet Jun again or not.

Feeling so hopeless, Ino walks away with sad feeling, he failed to notice that there's another flight to America in that day. He also didn't realize that Jun passed him by.

As soon as the taxi arrives, Jun started to get his belongings and walks to the departure area. His guess is right, he already miss the flight. So he must take another flight.

He is busy with his belongings that he doesn't even realize that Ino walks passed him. He goes to the flight counter without looking back.

Ino meet Sugizo and the others on his way back home.

"So you decided to come," Sugi grins and pokes Ino's shoulder but Ino just stay quite and stares at the ground. "Why? What happened?"

"I'm really stupid," Ino mumbles. "I should've listened to you."

"It's alright." Sugi hugs him. "I know you are so disappointed with him. But there's still a chance that he will contact you soon, right?"

"Yeah, he might comes back again to Japan," Ryu added.

"Guys," Shinya looks worried.

"What is it?" Sugi asks.

"That isn't the plane that carry Jun, right?" Shinya points to the news on tv that showing the headline of an accident. The flight to America is missing from radar and probably crashed in the ocean.

Ino couldn't believe what he just sees. "Jun! He can't be in there, right?" Ino stares at his friends with panic.

"Well... He supposed to be in that plane....."

"No! No way! That can't be......" Ino can't say anything again, as he suddenly falls and collapsed. He can hear his friends calling out his name before suddenly everything went black.

Limited light reaches greater heights, and I gaze at the fully bloomed flowers

The generations of the past millenniums have all sung the same prayer
